Go to the trigger page and click on the Reloadify - Purchase Anniversary template.

Trigger settings

If you have read one or more of our trigger articles, then by now you know that it is important to give your trigger a clear name, so that you can easily find it back in the trigger overview.

Next, filter your audience:

The first order of which:
The time of ordering is equal to 1 years ago
The orderstatus is equal to completed

❗ Note: choose the first order a customer has completed in your webshop. For example, if a customer has cancelled an order, this email will not apply yet.

At the bottom of the page you will see the number of profiles that match your set filters. It is possible that there are no profiles matching at the time of setup, don't worry, this can vary by the minute/hour/day.

Sender settings

The sender settings; here you fill in the details of you as the sender. If all goes well, both your (company) name and email address are already filled in. If not, please check your email settings in the settings menu. Here you can choose to use only your company name or a combination of your own name and your company name. We advise you not to choose only your own name. Customers might not recognize the name and therefore see the email as spam:

Next, call out a catchy subject line:

Hi {{first_name}}, happy one year anniversary πŸŽ‰

And add a preheader:

Celebrate your one-year customer anniversary!

We actually always recommend adding the customer's first name in the subject line; this makes the email more personal. A pre-header is a reinforcement of your email subject and helps to convince customers to open the email.

E-mail editor

Yes, you are in the email editor! You can use the current template or you can throw it out and give it your own twist. Through the menu on the right you can add different elements to your trigger, for example text boxes, images, buttons, dynamic content, videos etc. Elements can be removed by clicking on the trash can icon in the top right corner of the corresponding row:

Start your e-mail with the message for your customers, based on this message you can further style and decorate your e-mail:

Today you are one year customer with us, {{first_name}}! We would like to celebrate this happy day with you. Of course we hope you will remain a customer for a long time and therefore we have a present for you. πŸŽ‚

As a treat, you can add a discount code in your email. A discount code is not available by default, but you have to create it yourself. You can do this on the page 'discount codes', which you can find under the heading 'dynamic content'. Do not forget to save your e-mail so far (top right).

Use a button instead of a dynamic product. Which page you link to this, we leave up to you.

After writing your text, creating and adding a discount code and styling your webshop button, you proceed with the rest of your trigger. We have listed a few (important) aspects for you. A number of these points will return in all trigger templates and will be repeated in the corresponding articles. Note: the styling and further layout may look different for each webshop, you may get inspiration from the points below.

❗ Note: we already added the unsubscribe link for you in the template. If you have chosen to create a new trigger, you have to add the link yourself. You do this by selecting the relevant text and clicking on 'special links' > 'subscriptions' > 'unsubscribe link' in the toolbar of the text box.

Close your e-mail with a row in the same color as your header, but without your logo. This will create an uncluttered email.

Tips

Regarding the use of colors, we advise you to use a white, or at least a light, background color. This will make the e-mail easier to read.

Important to know is that images are scaled by default. The images are therefore adapted to the dimensions of the images from your shop. If you don't want this, you can click on the image and turn off the option 'auto width':

Then you can manually determine the size of the images. However, do not make your logo and other images too large. This is because of the mobile version of your email. It may vary by phone, but images may be compressed.

Save your created rows, this will save you the next time you set up a new trigger. You can find the saved rows under 'saved rows' in the top right corner.

Curious how your email will look to a client? Send yourself a test email. The system will complete the email with customer data from a random profile in your shop.

Activate trigger

Before activating the trigger, please note: did you use the Reloadify trigger template? Then please check if you have replaced our name and data with your own company name and data. Yes, done? Then you're good to go! πŸ•ΊπŸΌ

In this final step, you will be shown a summary of your settings and you can choose to activate the trigger immediately or do so at a later time.

Next, you select the time frame in which you want to send the e-mail. You can send the email 24/7, but we advise you to choose a more specific time frame, so your email does not get snowed under:

Send only between 07:00 - 20:00

Once you activate the trigger, our system is continuously searching for profiles that match your set conditions.
