Reactivating customers to come back to your online store doesn't have to be difficult!

Do you have customers who haven't placed an order in a while? With this trigger you will win your customers back and create a sales boost for your online store! You set the trigger easily; let's do this πŸ’ͺ🏼

Go to the trigger page and click on the Reloadify - Win Back 1 template.


First of all, it is useful to give your trigger a clear name. This name is not visible to customers, but purely for yourself to find your trigger back on the trigger page:

Then segment your audience using the filters:

The last order that:
The order moment is equal to 60 days ago
The order status is equal to completed

You can also choose 30 or 90 days; the choice is yours.

At the bottom you can see how many profiles match the set filters. It is possible that there are no profiles matching at the moment of setting; this can look different in a few minutes.

E-mail settings

After the trigger settings you come to the sender settings. The name and e-mail address should already be filled in for you. If not, please check your email settings in the settings menu, these data will be synchronized. We would like to recommend you to use the data from your webshop and implement them in your entire email communication:

You can choose your company name or for example your own name combined with your company name. Don't just choose your own name. Customers may not recognize this name and therefore see the e-mail as spam.

Next, you continue with the email subject:

We miss you {{first_name}}, will you come back soon?

You make your email more personal by adding the customer's first name. You can also add a preheader:

Want to resend unopened emails? Then enable this.

Next, choose the start and end time in which you want to send the automatic trigger. You can choose to have the sending continue 24/7, but we would recommend selecting a more specific time frame, so your email is less likely to get snowed under. For example, like between 7 a.m. and 8 P.M.

E-mail design

Once in the e-mail editor it is time to design and style your trigger according to your own style. In the menu on the right you can find different elements to add to your email, for example; buttons, images, videos, dynamic content blocks etc.

Let's start with the text:

Hi {{first_name}}

It's been a while since we last saw you and we miss you!

Maybe one of the following products can convince you to visit our webshop again? πŸ™ƒ

Here you can also add the first name of a customer. You could also choose to include a discount code in your email and thus entice the customer to make a purchase.

Another important aspect of this email is the insertion of a dynamic product. You obviously want to show your return customers all the products you have on offer. For example, you can show popular products, but also last ordered products or similar products; there are many possibilities!

To add a dynamic product block, choose the 'rows' tab on the right side of the menu and click on the dropdown menu. Here you select 'last ordered products', 'all last ordered products', 'cross-sell products' or 'all cross-sell products'. If you choose the option without 'all', the block will actually show one product. If you choose the option with 'all', then the block works like a 'loop' and repeats as many times as the number of products in a customer's last order. To make sure you have set up the block correctly, you can send yourself a test email. The test mail will be filled with customer data from your webshop; you will immediately see how the trigger will look like when it lands in the customer's inbox.

After writing your text and setting up your dynamic content block, you can move on to the design and styling of your trigger. Below, we have listed a number of important aspects that you can include in your email. A number of these points are standard features of all trigger templates and will therefore also be included in the related articles.

Note: the styling and further layout of an email may look different for each webshop, you may get inspiration from the points below.

Header: use the logo of your webshop in the header and possibly adjust the background color to your corporate identity.

Next, add the text box here, including the text you wrote earlier.

You can introduce your dynamic product with a headline.

Sub-header: Popular products (cross-sell products) or Favorite products (last ordered products)

Insert your dynamic content product here.

Button: Shop Now

Row: turn your 'benefits' into an image or add a text box with a listing:

  • Ordered before 21:00, delivered tomorrow

  • Free shipping for orders above €25,-

  • 30 days return policy

Row: if you have an app for your online store, you can add a link to the App Store or Play Store.

Close your e-mail with a row in the same color as your header, but without your logo. This will create an nice and decent email.


Save your created rows, this will save you the next time you want to have different elements return in your e-mail. You can save rows by clicking on the row in question and by selecting the floppy icon in the top right corner. You will find the saved rows under 'saved rows'.

In terms of color we would like to advise you to choose a light background color. This will make the email easier to read.

If you use images in your trigger, they will be scaled by default. This means that the images in your email will automatically be adjusted to the dimensions of the images in your store. If you don't want this, you can click on the image and turn off the option 'auto-scaling image' on the right. Then you can manually set the size of the images.

Because of the mobile version of your email, we advise you not to make your logo and other images too large. It may vary from phone to phone, but images may be somewhat compressed.

Activate trigger

Before activating the trigger, please note: did you use the Reloadify trigger template? Then make sure you have replaced our name with your own company name. Did you do this? Then you're good to go!

The last step includes a summary of your settings. You can choose to activate the trigger immediately or at a later time.

Once you activate the trigger, our system will continuously search for profiles that match your set win-back filters.
