Follow up on your first win-back email and get customers back to your webshop!

Are you still missing a large portion of your customers after your first return trigger? Then set up a second trigger that follows up your earlier email; fingers crossed for returning customers.

Go to the trigger page and click on the Reloadify - Rewind 2 template.

Audience

Give your new trigger a clear name, let it emerge that this is your second back win variant. This name is not visible to customers, but purely for yourself to keep the triggers apart.

Next, segment your return audience using different filters:

The last order that:
The time of ordering is 90 days ago
The order status equals completed

Tip: Match the number of days with your previous win-back email. You don't want your emails to be sent too close together.

Under the set filters, you'll see the number of matching profiles. There may be no profiles matching at the time of setting; this may look very different in a few minutes.

E-mail settings

In this step you fill in the details of you as the sender. If all goes well, both your name and e-mail address are already filled in. If not, please check your email settings in the settings menu; these are synchronized with each other. For the name you can choose your company name or your own name in combination with your company name. We advise you not to use only your own name. Customers might not recognize your name and therefore see the email as spam.

Then you continue with the email subject:

And if necessary, add a preheader:

Shop your favorite products at a discount now!

You make your email more personal by adding the customer's first name to your subject line. Likewise, it increases the chances of the customer opening the email. Adding a preheader is also one of the possibilities. A preheader is an introductory text that can improve conversion. The most important advice we can give you is: test, test what works best for your customers.

E-mail editor

Yes, you are in the e-mail editor! You see a standard template that you can fully customize. Using the menu on the right you can add different elements to your email, for example images, videos, buttons, dynamic content blocks etc. If you want to completely overhaul the template, simply remove parts by clicking on the trash can icon in the top right corner of the corresponding row.

Let's start with the text message:

Hi {{first_name}}

That was a long time ago, we haven't seen you in our webstore for a while. With the coupon code below, we hope to win you over and welcome you back as a customer!

Add a discount code to entice customers to your webshop. Discount codes are not available in the email editor, you have to create them yourself. How to create a discount code and add it to the email editor can be found in the article about dynamic discount codes. Don't forget to save your trigger settings (top right corner) πŸ˜‰ up to now.

In the earlier win-back email we chose the 'cross-sell products' block. Therefore, this second email may contain a different block; 'last ordered products'.

To add a dynamic product block, choose the 'rows' tab on the right side of the menu and click on the dropdown menu. Here you select 'last ordered products' or 'all last ordered products'. The option without 'all' actually shows one product per block. The option with 'all' works like a 'loop' and repeats as often as the number of products in a customer's last order. In this case, we choose the first option and show two products.

After writing your text, creating and adding a discount code (if necessary) and setting up the dynamic content block, you can continue with the further design and styling of your trigger. We have listed a few (important) components for you. Some of them will be repeated in all trigger templates and in the related articles.

Note: the styling and further layout may look different for each webshop, you may get inspiration from the points below.

Row: if you have an app for your online store, you can add a link to the App Store or Play Store.

Close your e-mail with a row in the same color as your header, but without your logo. This will create an uncluttered email.

Tips

Save your created rows, this will save you the next time you want to use certain items in other e-mails. You can save rows by clicking on the row in question and by selecting the floppy icon in the top right corner. You will find the saved rows under 'saved rows'.

We would like to advise you to keep the background color of your e-mail white or give it another light color. This will make the email easier to read.

All images in your email are scaled by default. This means that the images will be adjusted to the dimensions of the images in your web shop. If you want to determine the size of the images yourself, you can click on the image and turn off the option 'auto-scaling image' on the right.

Keep in mind the mobile version of your email; do not make images, videos and logos too large, they can get out of proportion.

Before you actually activate your trigger; send yourself a test email. The system will supplement the email with customer data from a random profile in your webshop. This way you can be sure that you will not send a skewed e-mail live!

Activate trigger

Before activating the trigger, please note: did you use the Reloadify trigger template? Then make sure you have replaced our name with your own company name. Did you do that? Then you're good to go.

The final step includes a summary of your settings. You can choose to activate the trigger immediately or do so at a later time.

Once you activate the trigger, our system is continuously looking for profiles that match your set win-back filters.
