How do I add points to profiles in bulk (CSV)?
Would you like to award points to customers in bulk, for example because you are transferring your current loyalty program to Reloadify? You can do this easily via a CSV import.
Step 1. Create an Excel document
Create an Excel document with all the email addresses you want to award points to. In the Excel document, create two columns:
1 for the customer's email address
1 for the number of points This will look like this:
Step 2. Add all email addresses and the number of points to the columns
Now fill in the document with the relevant email addresses and the number of points. Are you using a negative number of points, for example -5000? Then this will also be deducted from the number of points for that customer.
Step 3. Import the CSV file
Now convert the Excel file into a .CSV file and import it into Reloadify. To do this, click on “data sources” > “import” > ‘CSV’ > click on the three dots > new CSV. Add the CSV file and click on “save.”
The screen will now appear where you can link all Reloadify fields to the correct columns in your CSV file. In the example above, you only have the email address and the number of points. Map the email address to the “email” field. At the bottom of the settings, you will find the settings for Loyalty:
For “loyalty points,” add the column you want to link here. In the example above, select the column called “points.” You will then be asked how you want to add the points. You have two options:
Overwrite the loyalty points
Change the loyalty points
By overwriting the loyalty points, you overwrite the entire old value with a completely new value from your CSV file. By changing the loyalty points, you change the value to a new value from your CSV file.
Suppose your CSV file contains 2,000 points for customer A. Customer A already had 1,000 points in Reloadify. The new value when changing will then be 3,000 points. If you choose to transfer, the new value will be 2,000 points.
Do you want to deduct points from customers? Then enter a - (minus) number in the CSV file.
