Segmenting your audience based on page views

You'll learn how to build a segment with the Page interactions filter.

Written by Francine

How this works

Reloadify tracks page views with the Interaction script. Once a visitor is connected to a profile, you use that browsing data directly as a filter when building a segment.

Want to know how the script works and how the connection is made? Read the article Installing and connecting the Interaction script.

Note. Filtering by page views is only possible with the renewed audience filters. If you're still using the old filters, you won't see this option.

Filtering your audience with the right filters

  1. Go to Segments and click New segment.

  2. Click Add filter.

  3. Choose the category Activity.

  4. Select Page interactions.

  5. First set whether there was any interaction on the site at all.

  6. Expand this with a specific URL if you want to filter on a particular page.

  7. Combine this filter with other filters to further refine your audience.

  8. Save the segment.

Example. Want to reach customers who viewed the "Nike" category page but haven't bought anything in the last 14 days? Combine the "Page interactions" filter with the specific URL /sneakers and the filter "Last purchase more than 14 days ago".

Note. A page view filter only counts for profiles connected to a visitor. Browsing that happened before the connection was made counts automatically from the moment of connection. You don't need to add this manually.
