What is it
Custom fields let your own Magento data show up in Reloadify automatically. You don't add the data manually through a CSV or the API, you link an existing attribute from your Magento back end.
Think of:
A customer number or account number from your administration
A preference customers fill in when creating an account, such as size or brand
A product attribute you added yourself, such as material or warranty period
A B2B field such as company name, VAT number, or price group

Why you use it
Once the data is in Reloadify, you use it the same way as the standard fields.
Segment. The custom field shows up automatically as a filter when you build an audience. The filter options match the data type, for example before and after for a date.
Personalize. Use the field in your emails, just like the standard fields.
Trigger. Use the field as a condition in a flow or trigger, for example an email around a date from your back end.
How you set it up
Set up a new custom field in Reloadify.
Save the property. Reloadify automatically creates a reference code. Keep this code, you need it to link the field to your Magento attribute.
Look up the attribute in Magento. For profile data, go to Stores > Attributes > Customer. For product data, go to Stores > Attributes > Product.
Note the attribute code. This is the technical name of the field, not the label you see in the back end.
Open the custom field you created in step 1 and enter the attribute code in the Magento attribute field. !Screenshot linking attribute to custom field
Save the link. The data comes in with the next sync.
Go to CDP > Profiles and open a profile where you know the field is filled in Magento.
Scroll to the custom fields overview and check that the value from Magento shows up.
Tip: don't see a value? Check whether the field is filled for this profile in Magento, and whether the attribute code is correct.
Frequently asked questions
Can I also manually fill in a field if it's not in Magento?
Yes. Custom fields that you populate via sync can also be populated via a CSV upload, the API, or Zapier. Keep in mind, however, that the next sync may overwrite the value from Magento, so choose one source per field.
What happens if I delete the attribute in Magento?
The property in Reloadify stays with the last known value, but stops updating. Delete the property in Reloadify if you want to remove the field completely.
Does this work with multiple store views?
Yes. The data comes in per store view, so per language in Reloadify. With multiple store views in one account, check that the attribute is filled in all relevant store views.
