An A/B test can be scheduled for later. Just like you schedule a newsletter for later. In step 2 of creating your newsletter, you'll find the option to schedule:

If you choose 'send immediately' then your A/B test will be started immediately. When you choose 'Your e-mail will be sent on the specified date', you can enter a date and time when you want your A/B test to start.
